Licensing Criteria

The Commission will not grant a licence unless it is satisfied that the applicant is a “fit and proper” person to be issued a licence. The Commission will suspend or revoke a licence if at any time the licensee has contravened or is contravention of:

  • its enabling Act or any other enactment in force including contravention of the Anti-Money Laundering Regulations;
  • is carrying on, or is likely to carry on business in a manner detrimental to the public interest or to the interest of any of its customers;
  • has become insolvent; or
  • is considered not a fit and proper person to hold a licence.
