Functions of the Commissioner

The Commissioner is the chief executive officer of the Commission and, subject to the general direction of the Board. The Commissioner is responsible for—

  1. administering and operating the Commission;
  2. discharging the Commission’s functions and exercising its powers;
  3. appointing, managing and supervising the Commission’s employees; and
  4. discharging functions and exercising powers assigned to or conferred by the Financial Services Commission Act, 2008 or delegated by the Board.
